Proper winter storage is essential for the upkeep of an inflatable. There are a few strict guidelines that must be followed to keep it protected during the winter. With good storage conditions, you can limit premature repairs to your inflatable!

Removing all water from your inflatable

To start winterising an inflatable, all water must be removed from the PVC fabric and from the interior of the inflatable itself. If you have a water inflatable, start by draining it by opening the appropriate valve(s). The water will then flow out and drain almost completely. You can tilt or turn the inflatable to remove any trapped water. Use a bucket to remove puddles from the top of the structure and empty the pools.

Leave to dry for a few days

It is important to let your inflatable dry out so that any trapped water disappears. Moisture can quickly ruin your inflatable by causing mould and wear and tear. You can leave it in a dry, sheltered place for a few hours. If the weather is fine, you can leave it in the sun for a few hours. The water will evaporate completely!

For faster drying, you can equip your blower/fan with an accessory that pushes hot air into your inflatable, such as the Huawei Air Heater.

Folding your inflatable correctly

Once all the air and water has been removed from the inflatable, it's time to fold it up. Make sure you follow the seams and special folds correctly. You can refer to the instruction manual provided. You should then roll up your inflatable properly to prepare it for winter storage.

Storing it in its storage bag

It is important to store your inflatable in the storage bag provided. This will protect the inflatable throughout the winter and prevent premature damage. The storage bag also makes it easier to move the inflatable: it is easier to handle.

Winter storage in a dry place

It is essential that the inflatable is stored in a dry place, away from light if possible. Good storage conditions will greatly extend the life of the inflatable, as it will be in good condition after being winterised. You can also place the inflatable on a high shelf, for example.
