Is your inflatable damaged or punctured? Do you want to repair it? If so, all you need is your repair kit and a piece of thick PVC fabric. Follow these steps to repair your inflatable.
Cleaning the surface
After you have deflated and flattened your inflatable, you should clean the damaged surface. You can use a disinfectant and a cloth. The surface must be clean and dry before applying the PVC fabric.
Get a repair kit
Before you apply your piece of PVC to the inflatable, you will need a repair kit. This is supplied with the purchase of an inflatable and contains a patch, professional glue, a spool of heavy-duty thread, several samples of PVC fabric in the colours of the inflatable and a needle.
Positioning the PVC fabric
PVC is a material that can be dyed in any colour. When you buy your inflatable, samples of PVC fabric in the colours of your inflatable are usually supplied with a repair kit. However, make sure that the fabric you select is large enough: ideally, your PVC fabric should cover the entire damaged area with a few extra centimetres. This way, if the piece moves over time, you can be sure that the damage will still be covered.

Fix the piece of PVC
Glue the piece of PVC to the fabric using professional quality glue. Apply the glue to all edges of the fabric and place it on the damaged area. Hold it in place with light pressure for a few minutes. Professional glue is very strong and of good quality, so it will adhere very quickly to the thermoplastic fabric of the inflatable. It is best to wait at least an hour before re-inflating the bouncer and letting the children jump in.
Things to remember
Maintenance of an inflatable is the key to a long lasting and reliable attraction. It is very easy to attach a PVC fabric to an inflatable. However, you must follow the steps above to ensure that the fabric does not come loose over time. When in doubt, consult the instruction manual or contact a professional who can guide you through the process of repairing your inflatable or simply take care of it for you.
